Foggy Ridge Cider grows over 30 varieties of cider apples and is nationally recognized. It makes three hard cider blends. Serious Cider, winner of 2008 Gold Medal in the National Women's Wine Competition, is a dry cider made with the English cider apples. First Fruit Cider is made with early season apples including Virginia Crabapples originally grown by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello. First Fruit won a silver medal at the International Eastern Wine Competition. Sweet Stayman is an off-dry cider made with 60% old-fashioned Stayman apples. This cider won a silver medal in the 2007 Virginia Governor's Cup. Foggy Ridge Cider is open weekends May through early December. Visit the website for special events and information on apples and cider.

Besides award winning wines, there is now a wood-fired brick oven for special-event weekends, an Italian music garden for relaxation and entertainment and the Bocce court is available.
West Wind Farm is a fourth-generation homestead in Southwest Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. Although we planted our grapes in 2003, our family's roots date back nearly a century.
