Named from the Cherokee "My Heart is at the River," Camp Ketahe is located waterfront on the New River with excellent gradual access (ideal for young children or wade fishing). A firepit by the water with firewood provided will make for excellent evenings making s'mores and catching up.
Stay a week and explore the New River Valley - you're only 12 minutes to access on the 55 mile scenic New River Trail (biking and hiking trail), 12 minutes to the Draper Village (restaurant, tea room, eclectic shopping, bike rentals, massage therapy, agritourism), 30 minutes to Foster Falls State Park (horseback riding, kayak/canoe access) and 25 minutes to Claytor Lake State Park (beach area, motorized boat rentals, hiking trails).
